SCR Phase Control

The potentiometer R1 and the capacitor C1 control the firing angle (also known as triggering angle) of the SCR. The resistor R2 limits the gate current. The load considered is RL type. The firing angle is given (approximately) by: α= ang tan [1 / (2*pi*f*C1*R1)]
