This circuit is a simple form of 1-bit memory ( i.e can store a '1' or '0') called an 'AND-OR Latch'. THis circuit is composed of a NOT, OR and an AND gate. It has two inputs ('Set' and 'Reset') and a single output, which represents the stored memory state.
